BUS LOCATOR APPAISD’s transportation team is offering families the new WheresTheBusTM app, which provides timely information about the location of their child’s bus, including when it will arrive at their stop.
The WheresTheBus app will be available Aug. 15. The free app is available on any device with Internet access (smartphone, tablet, personal computer, iPod)—and takes less than five minutes to install. You may download the instructions below.
LATE ACTIVITY BUSES
Students who are participating in after school events are able to ride a late bus as long as they arrive on time. Students should know their late bus number to make the process easier.
AUSTIN ISD BUS TRANSPORTATION HOTLINE
Please call the Austin ISD Bus Transportation Hotline for the following information:
RIDING A DIFFERENT BUS: BUS PASSES
If student needs to ride a bus in the afternoon that is not their regularly assigned bus, they MUST have a bus pass. Bus passes must be signed by a parent and by a member of the Program Office staff. Program Office staff will only sign bus passes that also have a parent signature.
The bus pass form is attached below. Print it out or pick one up from the office in advance. Fill out the information, sign it, and have the student bring it to the Program Office to be signed BEFORE NOON the day it is to be used.
Please note that bus drivers will not honor the bus pass if the bus is full.
*AUSTIN ISD Bus Transportation does not drop off students who live within a 3-mile radius of the school.
