Beginning in October, there will be no Think Tank on Fridays. This shift is due to the low Friday participation. Think Tank will still operate Monday through Thursday but students should have an alternate plan if they are staying for Friday events.

The Budget Stabilization Task Force is a key component of the district’s strategy to address its growing budget deficit. There are a number of potential budget reductions that could significantly impact teaching and learning at Kealing. Take a look at the budget tool to gather more information and to submit your priorities. You are encouraged to participate in the upcoming task force meetings. The next will be at Reagan High School on October 10, 2018 from 5:30-8:30 pm. We will also discuss this information at the upcoming Campus Advisory Council Meeting.

Homecoming Week
Monday, October 15th-Friday, October 19th.

Homecoming is a time to honor our fall sports, football & volleyball, and fun way to show off our Hornet Pride!

This year's Homecoming Theme is "It’s Time to School Them!"

To celebrate, we will have the following:
  • Two Pep Rallies! (Thursday, 10/11 and Friday, 10/12)
  • Themed Dress Up Days
  • Advisory Hornet Pride Banner Competitions
  • A school-wide dance on the last day, Friday, October 19th from 6-8 p.m. in the large gym!
Dress Up Days:
  • Monday 10/15: Pajama Day! We all know that “school-ing” others takes time and why not rest up? Show your dedication to our Kealing community and wear your comfy pj’s to school! (Be sure your pj’s adhere to the AISD dress code: no slippers/house shoes or spaghetti strap pj’s/nightgowns!)
  • Tuesday 10/16: Celebrity Day! Being a success can take many shapes and forms...let’s show these other teams how successful we are by dressing up as our favorite celebrity! (Don’t forget to follow AISD dress code standards!)
  • Wednesday, 10/17: Hornet Pride Day! It’s game day Hornets!!!!  Time to show everyone your Hornet Pride!  Show your school spirit and wear red, black, and white, or Kealing shirts!
  • Thursday 10/18: College Day! In order to properly school others, one must make sure they, themselves, have been informed.  Show off how much you know by wearing your favorite college t-shirt!
  • Friday 10/19: Silly Hat Day! There’s no better way to celebrate our last day of Homecoming Week, than by wearing your silliest hats! Hats off to a fun week filled with Hornet Pride!
