ITEMS NEEDED Advisory Minute to Win it Supplies Request During Advisory "active days" classes are given the opportunity to participate in "Minute to Win it Games." Classes are provided with a box of supplies to facilitate a number of fun and silly games in the classroom. To make more of these games we are in need of some supplies. Here is a signup list that would allow us to create a number of additional games for classes to use. If you have some of these around the house or can pick some up it would be much appreciated. None of these items need to be fancy or expensive, or even new in some cases. Again any of these supplies would be amazing to help increase the Social Emotional Learning experiences in Advisory here at Kealing. Please drop off supplies at the front office labeled for Ms. Thigpen Room 222Register to be a Kealing Middle School Volunteer

Writing Coach Volunteer Opportunity Are you a proficient informational writer? Are you interested in volunteering to support Kealing students? We need your help! In order to help our students improve as writers, we are soliciting writing coach volunteers. Students will be focusing on expository writing, which has the primary goal of delivering information about an issue, subject, method, or idea.Volunteer writing coaches will conference one-on-one with students to improve their writing skills.
Volunteers should be available for one class block of coaching at least one day per week. There will be training opportunities in October, November and December to help prepare the volunteers. Complete this form if you are interested in helping to support our students. Please forward this to anyone who you think might be interested in this opportunity!
Transportation Employees Appreciation Week National School Bus Safety Week and AISD’s Transportation Employee Appreciation Week were Oct. 16–20. Please take an opportunity to recognize the importance that having buses provided in the morning, after school and for late events is to the Kealing community. Please be extra careful when you see a school bus stop. If your student rides the bus, you might encourage him/her to thank the bus driver. In general, it’s a pretty low-paying thankless job, so those few words of appreciation will go a long way.
