Help KMS Students Prepare for Summer Reading!
Greetings, Kealing Family!

The English Language Arts Department is hosting a year-end book swap as a way to get exciting, new books into students’ hands before summer break. If you have have any gently used middle school level books, feel free to bring them in and donate them to this project. We are looking for chapter books and graphic novels that will interest middle school-aged students, ideally between a 700 to 1300 Lexile level. Before the end of the year, ELA classes will visit the book swap, and students will have a chance to take home at least one book to read over the summer.

We will collect book donations from Monday, May 6 until Friday, May 17. If you have books to donate, feel free to bring them in and drop them off at the front office, or your child can also drop them off at the library. If you have any questions, feel free to email Chris Hague at christopher.hague@austinisd.org

Thanks!
