Hey Hornets,
Last week was a week of wins. We ended the boys basketball season with heart and saw serious growth in our student-athletes. The Pre-UIL band concert was a packed house and the students made it time well-spent with incredible performances by all three bands. Orchestra took home a host of top scores at their UIL competition and our soccer team took on Lamar in the zone final, ending with a 3-0 win. Congratulations to all of the students and teachers who lead these programs!
Stephen Mansolo is excited to be on campus as our new nurse. Click here for his welcome letter and stop by some time to say hello. He along with the district health team have been providing our students with timely support as well as answering questions students might have about Coronavirus. This week, thanks to his help, in Advisory we will share some tips on staying healty and avoiding the spread of illness. This was not in the original plan but is necessary in responding to the fear and uncertainty that many of us are experiencing.
We are off to another week of learning with the final countdown to Spring Break. Have a great one!
