Good afternoon Kealing Community,
It’s almost time for Kealing Center Stage, our PTA's largest event and most significant fundraiser. I hope your calendar has been marked for this important adult-only event!
It’s almost time for Kealing Center Stage, our PTA's largest event and most significant fundraiser. I hope your calendar has been marked for this important adult-only event!
The Kealing PTA has provided a number of resources this year to assist us in providing a quality experience for our students. This year the support of the PTA has allowed us to increase the number of Chromebooks available, supplemented funds for some grade-level field trips, offered resources for a number of service and campus beautification projects, provided speakers to help parents support their students, backed teachers in their professional development efforts, added umbrellas to allow students to enjoy the courtyard more frequently, and assisted us in preparing a much needed upstairs teacher work room. This is just a sampling of the ways that the PTA has made Kealing a better place for students, teachers, and parents.
We will continue to rely partially on the support of the PTA to keep up with the demands of 21st century education on our growing campus. This includes providing resources for our ever-changing curriculum, offering support for after school programs, and contributing to our effort to move to a 1 to 1 ratio of students to Chromebooks. All of these plans will be possible with a successful Kealing Center Stage and through continued partnership with our PTA.

I hope you are able to join us on April 8 for a fun evening in support of Kealing Middle School, with entertainment provided by Kealing Teachers! Kealing Center Stage Tickets are $25 for individuals and $45 per pair. Click here if you need to buy tickets.
Also, mark your calendars for Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. This school year marks the 30th year that Kealing has been (re)opened. We are inviting all current Kealing families, future Kealing families, and Kealing on campus to celebrate this milestone. There will be a short program for those to hear about the past and present, performances by some of our Fine Arts students, tours through the building including some of the most unique spaces, line dancing, and a host of fun outdoor activities - Giant Jenga, bouncy houses, face painting, and field events to name a few. Lunch will also be provided.
As you can see, the month of April will be filled with events that are designed to acknowledge our past, celebrate our present, and prepare for our future. I hope to see you on April 8 at the Spider House Ballroom from 6:30 - 10:00 pm and at Kealing on April 22 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Don't forget to review all of the STAAR testing and field trip reminders for the busy week ahead.
Regards,
Kenisha Coburn
