Good afternoon Hornets,
Welcome back (almost)! I hope you have spent some time outside enjoying this beautiful weather and that you have had a relaxing Spring Break.
Just before the break, some of our students participated in UIL music competitions. Congratulations to all participants in the Kealing Band Program and Mr. Hinojosa, Ms. Robison, and Ms. Trowbridge! Their UIL performances resulted in SWEEPSTAKES; all three bands received all 1's from the judges. The students put on spectacular performances, even after a week where it seemed that band members were dropping like flies due to illness! Our Orchestra also added to it's string of successes, with our three Orchestras receiving the highest ratings in the Region. Kudos to Ms. Berecek, Mr. Jarrott, and all of the students in the Kealing Orchestra program.
This edition of Hornet Herald has some important information and quite a bit of notable upcoming dates. The rest of this semester is busy and it all comes pretty fast, so we will try to get dates to you a few weeks earlier than normal. Also, feel free to peruse the Kealing website calendar to take a more advanced look at what's coming this semester.
It's time to set your alarms again. We'll see you in the morning!
Regards,
Kenisha Coburn
