For the next few weeks, students will have the opportunity to recognize the contributions of African-Americans through our celebration of Black History Month. It's also time to submit course requests for the 2020-2021 school year. Students will begin to look at this process during Advisory. Choice sheets will be submitted through a google form during Social Studies classes in the coming months. As always, we encourage you to follow along by checking out the Advisory page on the Kealing website.

Online Registration Is Now Open
RETURNING STUDENTS: For families registering students returning to Austin ISD, a Parent Cloud account must be created before you can access the online registration system. To create a Parent Cloud account, visit

2019–2020 AISD Family Survey
As the district continues to strive for excellence in preparing our students for academic success, we encourage parents to offer feedback by completing the AISD Family Survey. Your opinions are important and will be taken into consideration as we strive to serve our students better.  The survey will ONLY be online this year. Please be sure to fill out the survey for all of the campuses you may have children enrolled.

Student Climate Survey
The Austin ISD student climate surveys will be administered through Social Studies classes between 2/24 - 3/13. The feedback we receive through these surveys helps us continue to improve so we hope to have all of our students participate. Parents may visit this website to take a look at the survey. Students have access to this online survey through their Austin ISD log-ins. Questions and opt out requests should be directed to

Kealing Ultimate Frisbee Team Sign Ups
Attention all students interested in joining the Kealing Ultimate Frisbee program! The Kealing Ultimate club is open to all students, all grade levels, all programs and no experience is necessary. Tryouts for the travel teams will be on Tuesday, February 18th and Thursday, February 20th from 3:00-4:30pm, and you must sign up (on the Google Form) by Friday, February 14th to tryout for the travel teams. See Mr. Natenberg in room 235 or Ms. Crouch in room 513 to pick up an information packet!

ACC Dual Credit/ECHS Information Sessions
Austin Community College (ACC) is hosting information sessions for parents of high school students. ACC Dual Credit courses are available at all AISD high school campuses. The Early College HS Campuses offer an opportunity to start earning dual credit as soon as Freshman year. Please consider attending one of the information sessions if you and your student would like to know more about Dual Credit. The sessions begin, February 11th and go through March. Join Kealing Girls' Lacrosse! 
The Kealing Girls' Lacrosse season will begin on Wednesday, February 5th and we would love for new players to join us! Lacrosse is open to all grade levels and no prior experience is needed. Practices are on Monday and Wednesday at the Kealing fields from 3:00-4:45pm beginning Wed, Feb 5th and continuing through the end of April. Games will begin Sunday, March 1st and continue on either Saturday or Sunday through May 3rd. If you are interested in joining the team, visit the Kealing Lacrosse website for registration instructions. There is a fee to play, but there are scholarships available as needed. The registration deadline is February 14th, but you are welcome to attend practices prior to registering if you would like to test it out before committing. Five Texas Middle School Students Chosen for TMEA All-Region Choir
Five Kealing Middle School Choir students earned the honor of placing in the Texas Music Educators Association All-Region Middle School Choir during auditions held on January 25th at Cedar Creek Middle School.

Auditioning students were required to prepare two selected songs (one which is foreign) by the region and audition on an excerpt of each. 

Students selected were:  Meadow Petusky, Morgan Walker, Adele Boerner, Emily Word and Lucia Maynard. They will perform in an All-Region Concert on February 8th at the AISD Performing Arts Center.
KMAG Meeting Date Change
Please note on your calendars that the KMAG meeting for February will be on Tuesday, February 18th.   Location will still be in the Kealing Library.

Kealing Center Stage Party & Auction Planning Committee
Preparation for our biggest fundraiser of the year has started, and we welcome everyone’s involvement!  Our greatest needs are items for auction, personal contacts for Austin businesses, and folks willing to give a little of their time for discrete tasks.  Please consider pitching in!  In addition, we are still looking for help with:

PTA Nominations for Executive Board and suggestions for PTA Chair Positions
PTA is looking for great people who care about kids and advocating for them to fill volunteer position on the PTA board next year.  Please email and nominate yourself or someone else.  The time commitment is a lot less than most elementary school PTAs.  Previous board experience is not required, and we would love to have you join.   Our executive board meeting typically are the 1st Tuesday of the month, and general membership meeting are the 1st Thursday of the month.
