Hornet Herald - February 17, 2020

posted Feb 18, 2020, 5:28 AM by KMS Hornets
Hi Hornet Families,

It's choice sheet time! If you are curious about what's being offered this year, visit the course descriptions and choice sheet page under the Student Life tab on the Kealing website. Reading the course titles will help you be a better sounding board for your student. There are a few exciting new offerings this year. 8th grade students also have the opportunity to choose from three high school credit Career and Technology Education courses that align to programs on many Austin ISD high school campuses. Middle school is a time to explore so trust your students to take some risks.

I encourage you to join parent organization meetings so that you are aware of what is going on for the rest of the year and so that you can participate in the redesign process. There will also be community conversations focused on questions and feedback about the parent organization redesign so keep an eye on the news and announcements page on the Kealing website. If you are unable to be present for these opportunities but want to stay in the loop, FAQs and additional information will be posted there as well.

The spring semester gets really busy really fast. Keep reading for more info about choice sheets, student climate surveys, and upcoming events.

Hope to see you on campus soon!

Kenisha Coburn
Proud Principal
