CAMPUS NEWS NAEP Testing The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is the largest nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America's students know and can do in various subject areas. A random selection of grade 8 students will take either the reading or math test on February 21st here at Kealing. There is no need to prepare for this test, but attendance is very important. Letters and emails have been sent out to those student who will take part in the test. Please help us in completing this event by making sure your student attends school on February 21st. Elective Choice Sheets for 2019-20 SY Counselors will be going to 6th and 7th grade social studies classes to complete elective choice sheets for the 2019-20 school year beginning February 25th until March 7th. Please look at Kealing Website under Student Life here to look at the choice sheets and course descriptions to help your student pick their elective classes before counselors come to their class. If you have specific questions about choice sheets, please reach out to your grade level counselor. 6th Grade - Six Flags Read to Succeed All 6th graders have been invited to participate in the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program. Six hours of reading signed off by a parent or teacher by February 22, 2019 will get a 6th grader a free ticket to Six Flags San Antonio - good for much of this coming summer. Reading logs have been distributed to English classes and are also available in the Library. Completed logs can be turned in any time before the due date to ELA teachers or to the box set up in the Library. Tickets will be given to the students after they have been made available by Six Flags, usually in May. Kealing CAC Interested in serving on the Kealing CAC?
