Don't miss out!City-Wide Book Drive Kealing advisories are collecting books for a city-wide book drive to benefit AISD schools. Many campuses do not have enough "choice" books for students to read in classrooms or before and after school. Others hope to send books home with students for the summer. We are looking for books from all reading levels, Pre-K through 12th grade. Please have your child bring them to advisory. The Austin Council of PTAs will collect and distribute them. Together, we can share the love of reading with ALL kids in AISD! | PTA ANNOUNCEMENTS Teacher Appreciation Week This week is Teacher Appreciation Week in AISD. Please join the PTA in appreciating Kealing's hard-working teachers who educate, motivate, and inspire our students on a daily basis. While they often receive feedback from school staff, the greatest impact occurs when they hear from parents and students. Please use this form to drop a positive, specific, personal anecdote or note to any Kealing teacher. You are not required to participate but we do encourage you to submit genuine notes as you see fit. They will be sent to teachers by email throughout the week for teacher appreciation. The notes will be screened before they are sent out, so please do not use this as an opportunity to give critical feedback. Please submit no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5. 30th Anniversary Thank Yous The anniversary celebration last Saturday was a big success and special thanks to Ms. Pena-Brooks and her students for face painting, making signs, and providing slushies.
