8th Grade Magnet Field Trip Chaperones Needed!
8th grade magnet students have field trips to The Blanton Museum of Art and points of interest on the UT Campus on May 9th and 10th. We need chaperones to make these successful, please visit the Sign-Up Genius to join in the fun!

Administrative Professionals Appreciation Week
This is the week to appreciate our incredible office staff at Kealing. Please take a moment to give a special "thanks" to an administrative assistant and/or an administrator this week. Like all other staff at Kealing, they go above and beyond to keep our school running efficiently and safely! Thank you.

Save The Date: 20% Time Showcase
Please join us on Wednesday May 2nd from 4-6pm at Kealing as 8th grade magnet English students showcase the work they've been doing during 20% Time, our independent project initiative. They will be sharing through demonstrations, TED talks, performances, a gallery, and a marketplace. Students, families, and community members are welcome! 

New Kealing T-Shirts!
As part of an English project, one of our 8th grade students designed a new Kealing t-shirt and now has them available to buy! Shirts (and sweatshirts!) can be purchased online between now and Sunday, April 29th and will be delivered to students in early May. All profits will benefit the Kealing Lacrosse program. KMAG 2018-2019
KMAG is looking for many positions for next year. Each position is a small time commitment and we would love your help.

If you are interested in helping, please email

1. Audit Committee: Review the Treasurer books/records at the end of the school year for compliance. Grab 2 of your friends and make it an event. Takes just a couple of hours. 

2. Committee Chair: Oversee all the KMAG committees and serve as a conduit of information between the individual committees, the Magnet staff/Admin and the KMAG Board. Easy to do via email! Small time-effort and great task for a working parent !

3. Videographer: Videos the monthly KMAG meetings. KMAG has the video camera and tripod. Please know that our future KMAG meetings will not be recorded without this position being filled.

It's Time for AHS Speech and Debate Showcase!
High schoolers wearing suits and presenting in front of judges? What's it all about? Students nationwide are developing strong speech and debate skills that can serve them for a lifetime. Come enjoy the fun while you learn more and have a few laughs with the current award-winning Anderson High School Speech and Debate team’s annual Spring Showcase.

Our team has had a remarkable 2017-2018 season. Anderson Speech and Debate is the 2018 UIL and NSDA (National Speech and Debate Association) District Champions, the 2018 TFA (Texas Forensic Association) State Champions in Public Forum Debate, and team sweepstakes winners in 8 tournaments this year. The team qualified 5 students to NSDA Nationals in Florida, and 13 students to the Tournament of Champions at the University of Kentucky.
