To offer you more information as you make plans for the 2019-2020 school year, we would like to invite you to a few upcoming events that highlight the Kealing Middle School Academy experience.  These events are designed to provide families who reside in the Kealing Middle School attendance zone with information about what programs are available to their students.  Please mark your calendars for these opportunities this semester. Visit our website at to get a head start learning about our school community and feel free to contact Christina Romero at or 512-414-2707 if you have any questions about these events.

Kealing Academy Campus Visit

We are excited to welcome all students from our feeder schools on a field trip to Kealing on January 25 to see the campus and learn about some of the exciting opportunities they will have as Hornets.

Kealing Academy Choice Sheet Day

Though Kealing counselors will visit all of our elementary feeder campuses to help future Hornets complete choice sheets, we believe it is valuable for parents and guardians to participate in the process. Join us on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am to meet some of our staff members, learn about course offerings, ask questions about what to expect in the scheduling process, and complete choice sheets for the 2019-2020 school year!

Student Shadowing We are excited to offer 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students who live in the Kealing Middle School attendance zone the opportunity to spend the day as a Kealing Academy student. The shadowing window is March 4–12 and April 15-26. Students will have the opportunity to experience core classes and electives. Visit for more information or to sign up.

Kealing Community Learning Walks

What is a Learning Walk?

  • A community learning walk is an opportunity for invited guests to tour the campus and visit our classrooms. It’s a chance to learn more about Kealing, the instructional practices, and how we ensure that all students are learning and growing.
  • Tours begin in the library for questions and answers. Then guests visit Kealing classes.
  • After touring the classrooms, there is an opportunity to ask and receive answers to any questions about our school, our faculty, and our instructional practices.

How do you sign up to join a Learning Walk?

Learning Walks will take place from 9:30 – 11:00 am on the following dates:
