Good afternoon Hornet Families,
We have received a number of accounts of students almost being struck by vehicles as they cross Pennsylvania Avenue. Please be courteous and aware of children crossing so that our students can travel to school safely. This week we will have additional officers on hand to help remind parents to slow down during morning drop-off. They will be ticketing anyone who is speeding or driving carelessly.
Also, Mr. Williams will be on leave for the remainder of the fall semester. We are fortunate to have Mr. Gibson on our team during this absence. He is an experienced former principal and is familiar with our campus. Please don't hesitate to contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org with items related to 8th grade students. As usual, feel free to contact me with questions or concerns.
Take a look at the rest of the announcements for the week.
