Register to be a Kealing Middle School Volunteer

Winter Break - Kealing Students Return on Thursday, January 4

Circuit of the Americas Winter Wonderland 
Our Advanced Music Production students will play a concert at the Circuit of the Americas on Monday December the 18th from 6:00pm until 9:30pm.

This is part of the new  COTA Winter Wonderland. As you can see, there are lots of fun things to do!

You could get tickets for our concert night- or any other night in December which is convenient for your family… use this link and code to buy tickets- a portion of the money will benefit our classroom!

Spelling Bee Winner 
Congratulations to 7th grader Pranathi Jammula, winner of Kealing Middle School’s 2017-2018 school wide Spelling Bee. After twelve rounds against eleven other competitors, Jammula claimed the title of Kealing Spelling Bee Champion for the second year in a row.

Jammula was named champion after correctly spelling the word “propaganda” and will advance to the Austin Area Spelling Bee to be held March 25th, 2018 at The Zach Scott Theater.

Also receiving recognition as “Top Spellers” competing in eight or more rounds were runner up Tushar Bhagawatula, Nisha Vishag, Aubrey Howe, and Liselotte Lilo Ryan.

8th Grade Summer International Travel
Current 8th grade students have the opportunity to travel to London, Paris and Madrid this summer with ACIS, American Council for International Studies. The trip will be chaperoned by ACIS, Lindsay Hutchinson and Kelly Morledge and take place July 16-24, 2018. The early registration deadline is January 1, 2018 and the final registration deadline is March 1, 2018. If you have questions about the trip or would like to register your student, please visit the trip website at www.bit.ly/europe18.   • Pizza & pie from noon-1 pm in Kealing cafeteria
  • Neighborhood/Kealing clean-up and grounds work from 1-3 pm
Let's honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and do some good! 7th and 8th graders will earn NJHS service hours.
